Spain suffers the most from its domestic violence among men. Everyday a woman is murdered or seriously injured by her husband or partner. Due to it socialist nature, misogyny is able to be widely accepted among the Spanish culture. While these acts happen often, little is done to most of the offenders due to its minor importance in court. Although Spain's equal representation of men and women in government was introduced in the past years, it still fails to combat the male dominated society. In an attempt to combat this problem, Spain introduced laws to allow victims of domestic abuse to seek legal redress.
